How can I use it?

A Warrior Site can be a:

  • Professional profile or web presence (in addition to but not in lieu of your faculty profile) that highlights scholarly, pedagogical, and service activities. Your official faculty profile should remain in-tact and up to date in accordance with our HLC accreditation criteria
  • Grant proposal or committee site
  • Portfolio of projects, both in-process and completed, that can be used to demonstrate skills and experiences. Posts can share progress on ongoing projects in the field or in the classroom
  • Forum to enable sharing amongst community members who might otherwise be separated geographically or by discipline
  • Site to host and share resources, notes, and collections of digital materials
  • Site created for use in a class or as a group project

A Warrior Sites is NOT a:

  • Substitute for your official faculty profile that highlights scholarly, pedagogical, and service activities
  • Replacement platform for an official Wayne State course. While we encourage the use of a personal site to augment the class experience, official course information, functions (grading, discussions) should be hosted in Canvas
  • Site used as the exclusive source for official university academic degree program and/or policy information. This content must reside on the sponsoring department’s official university website
  • Personal blog (non-academic related) or business website, e-commerce, or otherwise
  • Student organization site. Wayne State student orgs are encouraged to use and host their web presence using the Get Involved platform
