Please join us for the first workshop of the Fall 2019 semester, taking place at noon this Friday (09/27) in room #10302. This workshop, entitled “Teaching Students How to Read and Comment on Texts,” will be facilitated by Dr. Clay Walker.

This workshop responds to the data from the 2018-19 assessment of ENG 1020, which found that our students need help developing reading strategies for working with college-level texts. We will talk about types of comments made by students and how to help students develop comments that effective respond to, evaluate, and analyze the texts they are reading for class and research projects.
