I meal prep so the last meal I ate was a herby chicken with melted mozzarella on top and when I re heat it I microwave it for a minute to unfreeze it, put it in a pan with garlic and herb spaghetti sauce and let that warm up, then I microwave a portion of my diced potatoes and have that as a side. I love to meal prep and get everyone on it that I can. Many people see it as leftovers and a chore, but I use it as a way to try new things and make the food I want to eat.
I usually eat one meal at a time so that is what I will eat until it gone, for lunch every day I make a caesar salad with chicken. When I meal prep, I make all the food, package them efficiently and separately so I can assemble a final plate the day of. If I wait to assemble the plate until the last second, it keeps the food more fresh looking and tasting versus if I would have put the sauce on the chicken in a froze/reheated it all together.
I eat alone other than when I’m at my boyfriends and I’m in the process of trying to get him excited about meal prepping because I feel a major difference physically and mentally from eating chicken, salads, and potatoes versus fast food or takeout. When I eat, I usually consume it fast and drink fast, especially if the drink has a straw then I’m a bottomless pit.
