Hello, my name is anonymous, and I am 21 years old. This is my fourth year at Wayne State University and my last semester! At the end of April, I will be graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with minors in psychology and sociology. I am so excited to finally be finished with college and move onto my career in life. With this degree, I have multiple ideas with jobs. I would like to work in parole and probation, corrections, foster care, or paralegal. I have to see what field I enjoy the best when I am looking for a job, since I like them all.
Currently, I have two jobs as well as going to school full time. My first job at a restaurant called Red Olive. I have multiple positions here including waitress, host, and manager. I have been at this job for over five years. My second job is a receptionist at Marywood Nursing Care Center. It is a pretty laided back job. I have to answer and transfer phone calls and welcome visitors into the building. I enjoy doing this while in college because it gives me time to complete my class assignments.
I used to live with my parents, but when I was 18 years old, I moved out into an apartment with my sister and her boyfriend. It has been a wonderful experience being able to live on my own throughout these last 3 years. Currently, I am house searching with my boyfriend. We have been together for 4 years so far. He wants to buy a house right away and not live in an apartment because he thinks it’s a waste of money, which I understand. Hopefully by this year or next year, we will be able to find a house we love and purchase it.
As for my family, I have my mom and dad, and 2 siblings. The oldest is my brother, he is 25 years old and is married with a child and another on the way. The next oldest is my sister, who I live with. She is 23 years old. My sister and I do a lot of things together, and I’d say she is my best friend. At my parents’ house we have 2 pets. One dog named Charlie and he is a Caviler King Charles. Then we have an orange cat named Cheddar. At the apartment that I live in, we have animals as well. Two cats to be exact. They are both black and white cats. One is a girl named Jenny and the other a boy named Felix. Jenny is lazy and a bigger cat, while Felix is a fluffy puff ball of energy. I love them dearly.
My most favorite hobby at the moment is reading. I have always loved reading, but this past year I really got into it. Last year I read just over 30 books, and I was very proud of myself. This year I am aiming for at least 45 books. My favorite genre would have to be romance, fantasy and thrillers. Another hobby of mine is taking care of plants. I started to do this maybe three years ago. I love going to the Eastern Market when it is nice out and look at all of the indoor plants that they have. I usually go home with about 3 plants each time. I would say I have about 15-20 indoor plants at the moment. My favorite is the monstera plant because I think they are really pretty. They grow big too, which I like. I’d hope to get into more hobbies soon.
