I don’t necessarily suffer or miss out because of my racial identity. In a way it is very easy to be targeted or almost assumed on your outlook of a certain race. There are always stereotypes of races and that can be used against you. That is honestly one of the things in the world that is very controversial. Sometimes people use their race to try to defend themselves. I think that is a big problem that a lot of people think that everyone is out to get them or that it’s the “typical stereotype” people have and that’s why they acted the way they did to that person and they feel singled out. Now in a way that may be true that someone will use your race against you but I don’t think it’s necessary to have your race to defend you in any sort of conflict especially when it has nothing to do with race.
The more and more that this becomes a bigger deal in the world the more it will become a problem because now using race is a way of some sort of guilt used on people. I’ve always noticed the difference of skin color just as how people have different colored hair. There is a difference in how everyone looks. We were all made to be individually different. Now I mean that there are definitely people that use their race as something to put others down and to use against them but from what I have seen and how it has been used it’s not always like that and I personally believe lots of people blow it out of proportion. People also assume what happened in a certain situation but when in reality if they knew they wouldn’t be so defensive. Some people like to use race as an excuse of them not being able to do something or if life doesn’t go their way.
