About Pablo’s research:

I came from Chile, where my scientific background was in the field of neurobiology. I joined the Greenberg lab motivated to understand the mechanisms by which valproate, a drug used to treat bipolar disorder and other neurological pathologies, affects inositol regulation. My research focuses on understanding how valproate regulates inositol synthesis, and how phosphatidic acid (PA) factors into this pathway. The results of this research could potentially lead to novel therapeutic treatments for bipolar disorder patients and other neurological pathologies.

More about Pablo:

When I’m not in the lab, I enjoy doing any kind of outdoor activity and exploring new places around town. I really like sports and exercise, whether it is watching them or practicing them. Outside of the lab, my passion is soccer, which I play every weekend.
