Sarah Tropper, MA student, and Allie Penn, PhD student, explore the role of nursing during the Spanish flu. There was no cure or vaccine for the illness and caring for patients relied on the nurses who cared for patients by keeping them hydrated and comfortable. This presentation looks at the public health work of the government to close public spaces and enforce the wearing of masks.
