About Mallak’s Research

More about Mallak

Outside of research I am really interested in community engagement and religious practices in mental health. In my hometown, I work with the Amity Foundation in which I set up and attend fundraisers and events to help those less fortunate. I am also a part of a new mental health initiative through the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). We hope to create a comprehensive resource database and website about coping strategies for mental health and further information on serious mental illnesses.
