Ethnic Layers of Detroit was awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities Digital Humanities Startup grant. The $60,000 grant will fund the next phase of the project which will expand the eight-site pilot project with twenty-five to thirty additional sites around Detroit over the next eighteen months.
In addition, instructors will continue integrating sites into their classrooms and begin to include students in the creation of the additional sites through digital storytelling projects.
