Background: Baseline Faculty (Year 1) Survey

To gain a better understanding of the institutional experience and context, all full-time WSU faculty were invited to complete a Baseline Faculty (Year 1) Survey.  The confidential data from this survey will be used in a study on faculty member hiring, retention, and advancement at Wayne State University. The survey captured such information as family composition, social identities, and satisfaction with the institution’s response to COVID-19, and general perceptions of experiences as a WSU employee.

You can view an executive summary of the Year 1 survey findings in the GEARS Baseline (Year 1) Report.

For more detail about the Year 1 survey findings, please see the Baseline Barrier Report_2021.

We shared findings from our Year 1 survey during a  Virtual Town Hall in November 2021.
