CALL FOR INTERNS: Wayne State University Humanities Clinic Summer 2024

The Wayne State Humanities Clinic is seeking humanities and social science graduate students to work with Detroit nonprofits and museums this summer. Interns must be enrolled in a graduate program at Wayne State (or beginning a graduate program in Fall 2023). Interns will earn $20/hour (pre-tax) for 100 hours of work between June 10 and August 9.

The Humanities Clinic brings humanities and social science expertise to Detroit communities. The mission of the Clinic is to prepare graduate students for meaningful and diverse careers while supporting local museums and nonprofits on projects requiring:

  • Copy editing
  • Grant writing
  • Archival research
  • Historical documentation
  • Data collection and analysis
  • Media development
  • Project development
  • Community outreach
  • Educational programming

Interns will be expected to attend a cultural competency and safety orientation before the internship begins and will submit a headshot, deliverables from their internship, and a survey about their experience at the end of the internship.

      capacity during Summer 2024
    • Whether/not you are an international student
