The UN-RCE recently participated in a press conference organized by the Climate Action Campaign, where we had the privilege of hearing Congresswomen Debbie Dingell and Haley Stevens speak passionately about Michigan’s inspiring progress in climate action, thanks in large part to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal. Their commitment to advancing clean energy and making strides toward a sustainable future is commendable, but as they pointed out, there is still much work to be done.
At the UN-RCE, we are committed to playing an active role in this clean energy revolution. Our focus is on fostering sustainable practices and advancing climate action throughout the Detroit-Windsor region. We believe that through collaboration and continued effort, we can contribute significantly to achieving these goals.
Joining us at the press conference were dedicated representatives from Wayne State University, including Vishal Swamy, Héctor Esparra-Escalera, Donna Kashian, Halima Salah, and Dr. Kishore Gopalakrishnan. Their presence underscores the strong partnership between WSU and the UN-RCE in our shared mission to promote sustainability and climate action in our community.
