Are you ready to take your passion for sustainability to the next level?
Join Wayne State University’s 10-week virtual Sustainability Pitch Challenge for a chance to master the art of crafting a dynamic and impactful pitch. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while addressing real-world sustainability challenges.
Graduate and undergraduate students from Wayne State University, University of Windsor, College of Creative Studies, University of Detroit Mercy, and Lawrence Technological University are invited to apply. There is no need for an existing business or idea to participate—just bring your enthusiasm and drive!
Cash Prizes Include:
– 1st Place Grand Prize: $5,000
– 2nd Place Prize: $3,500
– 3rd Place Prize: $1,500
Throughout the 10-week challenge, participants will be teamed up with fellow innovators and have access to exclusive business pitch workshops. In addition, they will receive one-on-one consultations to refine their ideas. By the end of the program, participants will be fully prepared to present their pitch to a panel of judges who will decide the winners. No prior experience in pitching or entrepreneurship is needed—just your enthusiasm and drive!
To be selected, participants must be available to attend the following 9 virtual pitch training sessions and events, which will occur on Fridays for approximately one hour:
– 9/27: Orientation (12 – 1 PM)
– 10/4: Discovery Training Sessions (12 – 1:30 PM)
– 10/11: Planning Your Pitch (12 – 1 PM)
– 10/18: Market Research and Customer Discovery (12 – 1 PM)
– 10/25: Marketing Your Business (12 – 2 PM)
– 11/1: Financial Management, Revenue (12 – 1 PM)
– 11/8: Human Resources (12 – 1 PM)
– 11/15: Graduation Event + (12 – 1 PM)
