WSU’s Humanities Center has awarded Ethnic Layers of Detroit with an $800 Working Group Grant. This will facilitate the group to meet and begin planning for an interactive app on Detroit’s immigrant and ethnic history.
ELD will consult with experts, such as Brigitte Doellgast of the Goethe Institute who developed a similar project in New York, German Traces NYC, and local technology experts, such as Detroit Labs. ELD will give a Brown Bag at the Humanities Center in the spring about the results of these meetings.
